Ruim 10 jaar heeft Yvette in het Midden Oosten gewoond. Hier zette zij zich in voor vluchtelingen uit Syrië. Bij haar terugkomst in Nederland wilde ze graag verder met het helpen van vluchtelingen. Zodoende is Yvette gekoppeld aan een Afghaanse vluchteling, Ismail. Ze ontdekt graag de mooie plekken van Den Haag en neemt Ismail mee om hem uit zijn isolement te halen. Samen bezoeken ze diverse musea of hebben ze een goed gesprek met een kop koffie in een café.
